![]() Kevin was the fifth Phantom taking over the role after having played Raoul in the Broadway company. He was given the role for several months on Broadway as a prelude to headlining the national tour where he received critical acclaim (including winning the Carbonell Award in Florida). Kevin also starred on Broadway as the King in the revival of The King and I and the Prince in Chu-Chem. He also starred as Gaylord Ravenal in Harold Prince's staging of Show Boat, first in Chicago, then in the production's Los Angeles premiere. In the Toronto and Los Angeles premieres of Miss Saigon, Kevin created the role of The Engineer, receiving the Dora Mavor Moore Award in Toronto and the Drama-Logue Award in Los Angeles. He has toured the nation as The Phantom (winning the Carbonell Award in Florida) and as star soloist of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Music of the Night. On records, he sang the lead in Villa-Lobos' Magdalena for CBS Masterworks and is The Engineer on The Complete Miss Saigon, recorded in London. Kevin has guest-starred on "Miami Vice" and "The Equalizer" and co-starred with Robby Benson in the feature film,White Hot. |
